Quarterback of the Future?

Doak Raulston, from All Saints Episcopal in Fort Worth, currently has three offers.

"I'm more of a drop back passer," Raulston explained, but I'm not afraid to tuck it and run. We will call run plays for me some too."

Raulston has rushed for 546 yards and 4 touchdowns so far this year for the 6-1 Saints. It's his passing that has college coaches calling.

"I have offers from Louisiana Tech, Air Force, and Stephen F. Austin," said Raulston. "LaTech is recruiting me the hardest. I just got off the phone with Coach Scelfo."

Oklahoma State, Purdue, Utah, and Houston are also showing interest. Raulston feels like Utah could be the next school to make an offer.

Doak Raulston has completed 66.7% of his passes for 1949 yards and 19 touchdowns so far this season. His accuracy and decision making are two of the big reasons that he is attracting interest from college programs.

Raulston said his season is off to a good start. "We lost to our rival, Trinity Valley, last week," added Rauston. "That hurt, but we are 6-1 going into Homecoming." All Saints hosts Oak Ridge fromArlington, TX this week.

Raulston went to several camps this summer, including Louisiana Tech. He has been to Tech's campus more than once. "I've been to Tech a few times," said the 6'2" quarterback. "I was there for the Mississippi State win and it was awesome. I plan on going over for the Fresno Game too."

Louisiana Tech hosts Fresno on November 1st.
