Prior to Visit LaTech

Several big name recruits will be in Ruston this weekend.

Daniel Prior, the #36 SLB in the country, will be among several big names visiting the Louisiana Tech game against Idaho on Saturday.

Prior will be joined by Nick Partridge and Bret Craine from White Hall, AR; Kendrick James, Tyrone Duplessis, and Torell Miller from OP Walker; Germad Reed and Jeffrey Claybon from Lufkin; and Ashton Tyler from Higgins.

Henderson is 0-6 right now, but they have been in most of their games. "We lost to the #2 team, Navasota, by one point," said Prior. "We led Nacogdoches 12-0 at halftime." Henderson eventually lost to Nacogdoches 22-12. The Lions lost earlier in the season to Mt. Pleasant 14-12.

The early season struggles for Henderson have not kept the college scouts from calling Daniel Prior. "I'm undecided right now," explained Prior. "I haven't been able to look at every school that has offered me. I have offers from Iowa State , Utah State, Louisiana Tech, Rice, SMU, UTEP, UNT, and ULM."

One school that Prior will take a closer look at is Louisiana Tech. "I will be at the Tech game tomorrow," added Prior. "Coach Perot calls me every week."

Prior said he is getting strong interest from TCU and Baylor. He also said he still stays in contact with Oklahoma State. The 6'1" 202 pound athlete said while most schools want him as an athlete, Rice has talked to him about playing tight end.

Where he ends up and at what position remains to be seen, but Prior will be a great player for someone.
