Tech Eyes Acadiana Duo

Acadiana beat Sulphur 42-14 on Friday night to improve to 7-1.

Louis Hollier completed six out of six passes for 124 yards, including a 49 yard touchdown pass to D.J. St. Julien. Hollier finished the night with 168 total yards and two touchdwons.

Acadiana has been to the dome for the last three years, including the 2006 State Championship. Hollier, a quarterback as a freshman and sophomore, moved to wide receiver last year to help make plays for his team. He is back behind center for the Wrecking Rams in 2008 and plans to lead his team to the dome once again.

"Yes sir," said Hollier. "We made it to the championship game last year and we won it two years ago."

Hollier said he is hearing the most from ULL and Louisiana Tech. "I think Tech is close to offering," he explained. "They like me at receiver and at free safety.

Louisiana Tech is also after St. Julien. "They offered D.J. two weeks ago," added Hollier. Both players possess great speed and speed is exactly what the Tech coaches want.

St. Julien said Tech was not the first school to offer him. "No sir," he said. "Ole Miss offered me after my junior year." St. Julien said Tech Offensive Coordinator Frank Scelfo is recruiting him. "I am hearing the most from Tech, Ole Miss, and Tulane," he added. "I am interested in Tech's architecture program; it's one of the top programs in this part of the country."
