Jackson had offers from ULM and UCA and had interest from most of the state schools.
"He just felt comfortable with the coaching staff," said Coach Woods. "He went over there for a game and liked the atmosphere. He really liked the campus too." Coach Woods also said that Jackson is interested in architecture and that Tech's architecture program is one of the best.
Logansport wrapped up the regular season with a 4-5 record. They finished 2nd in their district and will be in the playoffs when they kick off next week.
Woods said Jackson has been a key player for him. "He has been our go-to guy for three years," explained Woods. "His numbers are slightly down because he has been double teamed so much.
Although Jackson plays receiver and free safety in high school, his coach says he will be a receiver in college. "He has good hands, good size and speed, runs good routes, and he understands how to get open," addes Coach Woods.
Jaccari Jackson is the ninth commitment for Louisiana Tech.
