LaTech Searches Georgia

Louisiana Tech is looking for a few good defensive linemen.

Sandy Creek Coach Chip Walker and his team are 9-0 heading into a regional championship game. With so much success, it is easy to see why Sandy Creek has quite a few players being recruited to play college football.

We have six players with offers right now," said Coach Walker. "We have a player committed to ECU and another committed to Duke."

It's hard to imagine a player from Sandy Creek being overlooked, but Coach Walker said James Hervey may just be that guy. "James has offers from ECU, Ohio, Troy, MTSU, Louisiana Tech, UAB, and Georgia Southern," explained Coach Walker. "He is kind of overlooked. He came into last year a little under the radar and he is having a great senior year."

Walker said that Hervey is 6'2" 265 and plays inside for him. "He's an inside guy," added Walker. "He's a very good player for us. He's a hard worker."

Louisiana Tech Defensive Coordinator Tommy Spangler is recruiting Hervey. "I've known Coach Spangler for a long time," said Walker. "He is a very good coach."

Once the season is over, James Hervey is sure to see his recruitment heat up. Check back for latest news on James and other prospects.
