Tech looks at White, Warmsley

Kyle White and Julius Warmsley could really help a defensive line get better in a hurry.

Carlita White, Kyle's mother, said Kyle was hearing the most from ULL and Louisiana Tech. "Tech and ULL are calling the most," said Mrs. White. "He is also hearing fom SLU, McNeese, Alabama, and Alabama State."

White is still waiting on an offer from Tech or ULL. He went to the ULL game last week. "He liked it," added his mom. "Although they lost, he feels like they are a good team."

Like White, Julius Warmsley has a mother who is very helpful in the recruiting process. Warmsley's mom said Julius has offers from a few schools. "He has offers from ULL and Army," she said. "He does not have an offer from Tech yet."

Warmsley's mom attended Louisiana Tech. "I went to school there," she added. "We visited over the summer." Warmsley has not made it up for a Tech game yet, but he has seen the Bulldogs play.

"We went on an official visit to Army and saw them play Tech," Warmsley's mom explained. "Army is a great institution, there is such great history there."

Louisiana Tech wanted Kyle White to come to camp this summer. He was expecting an offer, but he was unable to attend. Two other players had verbal offers from the Bulldog staff, but did not make it to camp. Darius Carey and Joshua Brown were to players that might have received written offers had they been able to showcase their skills in Ruston.

"Tech was going to offer at camp," expalined Brown, "but I didn't make it there." Brown said he has not heard much from Tech since the summer. His teammate, Cordarius Golston said he expects a Tech offer at the end of the season. "They wanted to see film of my senior year'" added Golston.

While Tech keeps tabs on Whte and Warmsley, it does not appear that they are recruiting another Louisiana defensive lineman. Blake Cogswell from Evangel said he has four offers.

"I have offers from SMU, ULM, McNeese St., and Northwestern St.," said Cogswell. "I am still committed to ULM, but I am taking visits."

Cogswell said he had a good visit to SMU, but he has close toes to ULM players. "I played with Troy Evans on the defensive line at Evangel and I grew up with Doug Stroud," added Cogswell. "At SMU, they really want to put pressure on the quarterback."

When asked if he is hearing from any other schools, Cogswell did have one more team on his list. "TCU has been calling," he said. "I want to take a visit out there. I have not heard from Louisiana Tech. They have been to one of my games, but I haven't talked to them."
