Washington breaks out

L'Damian Washington has offers from Louisiana Tech and ULL.

L'Damian Washington does it all for Green Oaks out of Shreveport, LA. Against Fair Park, he caught touchdown passes of 59 and 31 yards, returned a kickoff 90 yards for a score, and intercepted a pass. Against Rayville, he had 7 catches for 257 yards and three touchdowns, including one score from 73 yards out.

"I have offers from Tech and ULL," said Washington. "I'm still hearing from LSU and Nebraska has started calling."

Washington said he was recently measured at 6'4 and will play wide receiver in college. He is qualified with a 3.1 GPA and a 17 on the ACT. He plans to take the ACT again.

Louisiana Tech is playing in Shreveport on December 28th in the Independence Bowl. "I love it," he said. "That's great. I haven't made it to a game this year. I'm excited about it."

Washington said he is very interested in Louisiana Tech. "I like the job Coach Dooley has done with the program," he explained. Washington made an official visit this past weekend and was hosted by Cruz Williams. "It went good," he added.

Green Oaks just missed the playoffs at 4-5. "We lost several close games," said Washington. "We blew a 30-13 lead in the fourth quarter."

Tech's 2009 class is filling up fast. L'Damian Washington is fast enough to grab one of the final spots.
