Andre Taylor is a Bulldog

Andre Taylor becomes the third visitor from this past weekend to commit to Louisiana Tech.

"I wanted to commit when I was there," explained Andre Taylor. "I was supposed to visit West Point the next weekend and my parents already had tickets. We had to work that out."

Taylor, a 6'5" 225 pound tight end from Round Rock, Texas, said that he is committed to Tech and will not be taking another visit. A few other visitors from Texas confirmed that they are strongly considering Tech.

Christopher Knighton and John Hubert have Tech in their final two. Tech's advantage is that the other schools in both cases have not made offers. "I'm talking to set up a visit with Texas tech," said Knighton. "LaTech was a real good experience for me and I enjoyed my visit down there."

John Hubert said over the weekend that he would commit to Tech if Kansas State doesa not offer. He said that even if they do offer him a scholarship, he would still consider Tech. "I'm going to K-St. on Friday," said Hubert." He said he will let us know how his visit goes.

Germad Reed is still a strong possibility for Louisiana Tech. "I still have Tech and UTEP at the top," d Reed. "They are equal until I come back from my visit this weekend at UTEP"

With 24 commitments, it doesn't look like the Derek Dooley recruiting train is slowing down just yet. Rufus Porter remains a top priority. As you can see, there are a few other players still in the mix for Louisiana Tech.
