Ben Jackson commits to Louisiana Tech

Ben Jackson has battled injuries, but he showed enough talent to earn an offer from the Bulldogs.

"I was injured my sophomore year," said Ben Jackson. "Last year, I was still recovering and I had a senior in front of me. It's been 14 months since I was hurt and I am just now back to normal."

"They were going to wait and see my first couple of games before they offered," explained Jackson. "They decided they didn't want me to get away so they called and asked if I would come back."

Jackson had impressed the coaches at the Louisiana Tech camp two weeks ago. "Coach Perot likes the way I snap the ball," added Jackson, who won a deep snapping competetion two years ago. "They are signing me as a right tackle, but I can deep snap and short snap too."

The 6'5.5" 290 pound tackle is excited about his decision. "I love the school down there," he added. "I love the location and the town is not too big. It reminds me of our town."

Ben Jackson is the third offensive commitment for Louisiana Tech and the second from Texarkana. Quarterback/Athlete Antonio Graves from Texarkana Pleasant Grove committed yesterday along with Neville (Monroe, LA) signal caller Taylor Burch.
