LA Tech Eyes NELA Prospects

Louisiana Tech is staying in contact with two of the top players in Northeast Louisiana.

Centarius Donald from Caldwell camped at Louisiana Tech last month. "It went pretty good," he said. "They said they are going to recruit me real hard and to keep my grades up."

Donald has an offer from Louisiana-Monroe. "Coach Leahy said I was the top recruit on his list," added Donald.

After rushing for over 2,000 yards as a junior, the Caldwell running back is starting to get some attention. He is hearing from TCU, Tulane, LSU, and Mississippi State along with Tech and ULM.

Dillon Day from West Monroe also made it over to Ruston for camp. He also camp back a week later to get a closer look at things. "They had some of the top players from camp come back" explained Day. "We got to see the academic center and where the players live."

Day said he talked to the Tech staff about the upcoming year. "They said they wanted to see how my year goes on the field and in the classroom," said the 6'4" offensive lineman.

ULM has already offered Day and he said he camped this summer at LSU and TCU along with Louisiana tech.
