LaCraig Brown Officially De-Commits from Hogs

After telling last month that he was no longer committed to Arkansas, LaCraig Brown made it official.

"I called Coach (Bobby) Allen and told him today," said LaCraig Brown. "He said the offer is still on the table and they are going to recruit me heavily."

The Richwood Defensive Tackle said he is still considering Arkansas along with Louisiana Tech and TCU.

Chris Rodgers from is also reporting the de-commitment. Rodgers says that Brown is also considering Clemson. Alabama had also offered Brown earlier in the year.

Richwood has a end of the season showdown with Carroll tonight in Monroe. Brown said he was focused on ending his senior season on a positive note. "I'm going to let the season play out before I set up any visits," he explained.

LaCraig said there were several things he liked about TCU. "I'm looking at some schools that are playing well," said the 6'4" 265 Brown. "I want to go somewhere with smaller classes that can focus on each individual student. Somewhere that I can fit right in. Same way with Louisiana Tech. They play top quality opponents, scouts can see me play, and it's a program on the rise."

Brown had previously stated that he is interested in TCU and Louisiana Tech because they are close to home and he has family in both areas. "Every time I go to Tech, I feel like I'm a part of the team already. Everybody knows me," Brown added yesterday.

Richwood may secure a home game in the first round of the playoffs with a win over Carroll. Once the playoffs are over, look for Brown to make his decision. As always, check back with HereComeTheDawgs for all the latest.
