Tight End Tanner Smith has been focused on helping his team repeat. "I have been hearing the most from Rice, Louisiana Tech, and UNT," he said. "TCU has been calling some recently."
Tanner was voted MVP of the state championship game after catching 6 passes for 87 yards. This week he was voted first team All-District. The All-State team comes out later this week and Smith should be on the list.
Smith said he hasn't set up any visits yet, but he can turn his attention to recruiting now that the season is over. "Right now, Louisiana Tech is my only offer," he added. "I want to visit the schools that are interested in me."
Louisiana Tech had two senior tight ends this year in Dennis Morris and Dustin Mitchell. With Dakota Mosley committing to Auburn, there are two uncommitted tight ends on the Bulldogs radar. Louisiana Tech has offers out to Noah Cheshier along with Tanner Smith.
