Josh Tillman Signs

Louisiana Tech announced today that Josh Tillman signed and returned a scholarship offer to play football for the Bulldogs.

Josh Tillman, a 6'5" 268 pound defensive lineman froim Copiah-Lincoln College in Mississippi, has signed with Louisiana Tech.

Tillman, who said earlier in the week that he would wait, decided to go ahead and make his decision.

The Franklin, MS native totalled 16.5 sacks in his two years at the junior college level. His former high school teammate and first cousin, Bo Tillman, is a freshman offensive tackle at Copiah-Lincoln.

The cousins both signed with Southern Miss out of high school. Josh had offers from several schools, including Memphis, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Baylor.

Earlier this week, Tillman declined to name a favorite. "I will say Louisiana Tech is up at the top," said Tillman. "Coach Dooley is turning it into a big time program. I really like the facilities and the players."

Josh was unable to be reached for comment. Check back later for his response.
