Herman Fitch Profile

St. John High School made it to the 1A semi-finals in 2009.

Herman Fitch was named to the first team of the LHSAA 1A All State Team as a junior for St. John High School in Plaquemines, LA. The emails, phone calls, and letters are already starting for the 6-2 215-pound defensive end. "He got an email yesterday and two last week," said Dr. Andriette Fitch, Herman's mom.

Fitch, who also pitches for the baseball team, was also named first team All-District and All-Metro. He doesn't have any favorites at this point. "He wants to stay close to home," explained Dr. Fitch, "in State if possible. He wants to go to every camp that he can make. "

"Herman is a natural pass rusher," added his mom. "He loves to get at the quarterback." Fitch is probably suited to play outside linebacker at the next level.

Dr. Fitch played volleyball at Louisiana Tech and her husband played cornerback for the Bulldogs. "He wants to camp at Tech," she said. "He will probably camp at SLU and McNeese State too. We visited McNeese this year. Herman wasn't able to travel too far during the season."

This All-State pass rusher is definitely one to watch for 2010. We will check back with Herman this summer to see how recruiting is going and what camps he made it to.
