Noah Cheshier Commmits to LA Tech

Louisiana Tech had a big weekend. Noah Cheshier and Carey Fortson have committed to the Bulldogs.

"Louisiana Tech is about to skyrocket," said Noah Cheshier. "With all of the money being spent on facilities, the weightroom, the new fieldhouse, the recreation facilities for students, it's on the way up."

"Louisiana Tech stuck with me," he added. "Arkansas, Arizona, and Kansas all backed off. I have a visit to Illinois, but it's too far away. Louisiana Tech is a lot closer to home and I feel like it is a program on the rise."

Cheshier is an athletic tight end. he played quarterback this year for hsi high school team. The additions of Cheshier and Carey Fortson, from Longview, give Coach Dooley two huge additions from the State of Texas.

With a lot of emphasis on defense in this class, Louisiana tech added two big weapons on offense. Cheshier and Fortson give the Bulldogs even more options for the offense in 2010.

Both players had tons of interest from Big 12 teams, but chose Tech because of the ability to play in front of friends and family, for the chance to play early, and because they feel like Tech is building a winning program.

It all starts with good players, and today was a big step in the right direction.
