Antwond Roshell Signs With Louisiana Tech

Antwond Roshell, from John A. Logan College, has signed a letter of intent to play for Louisiana Tech Head Coach Kerry Rupp.

Roshell, a 6'10" 280 pound center, will add much needed size in the paint for the Bulldogs. The Milwaukee native averaged 5.7 rebounds and 1.85 blocks this season for Logan College. The big man also shot over 55% from the field as a sophomore. Coach Rupp visited Antwond this week and sealed the deal. "I wanted to commit when I was down there," said Roshell. "I had a visit set with Cincinnati this weekend. I decided to cancel the visit because I didn't want to miss any school. Louisiana Tech is where I want to be." "I feel like I fit in the players there both on the court and off the court," added Roshell. "It's the right place for me." Antwond Roshell will man the paint for Coach Rupp and play alongside Olu Ashaolu for the next two seasons. Ashaolu will draw a lot of attention inside and will free up Roshell to get some open looks and putbacks around the rim. Roshell is the first player to sign with Louisiana Tech in the spring period.
