Pichon Adds New Offer, Talks Tech Visit

Malcolm Pichon, a defensive tackle from Salmen High School, recently attended Junior Day at Louisiana Tech.

Malcolm Pichon and Isame Faciane were a dominant tandem at defensive tackle last season. Faciane, a senior, recently signed with Florida International. His cousin, Pichon, won't be left by himself this season.

Pichon, a 6'3" 325 pound defensive tackle, and T.J. Price, a 6'3" 215 pound defensive end, will both return for Salmen this fall. The duo recently attended Junior Day at Louisiana Tech.

"It went well," said Pichon. "I liked the staff the best. Coach Dykes was pretty cool. He really wants me to come there. They feel like I can make a difference up front."

Price is also an All-State basketball player. He uses his hoops athleticism to help him get to the quarterback. Pichon is very athletic for a big man and uses his size and strength to cause all kinds of problems for offensive lines.

Pichon has offers from SMU and Louisiana Tech. "I just picked up an offer from Memhis," he added. "I'm going to camp this summer at LA Tech, USM, and Memphis."

Jeff Koonz is recruiting Pichon for Louisiana Tech. "We talk a lot," added Pichon. "He was down here last week. He's a nice guy."
