Grady Ollison Checks Out LA Tech

Grady Ollison committed to Arkansas last month, but that didn't keep him from making the short drive down to Ruston, LA to check out Louisiana Tech.

"My Dad and I were talking about making a trip," said Grady Ollison. "I've wanted to meet Coach (Stan) Eggen at Louisiana Tech, so why not?"

"It went good," added Ollison. "He was real cool and laid back. I didn't get to see the campus so I want to try and make it back down there. They have a one day camp coming up on July 24th."

Ollison, who committed to Arkansas in May, said the only other campus he has been to, besides Arkansas, is Arkansas State's team camp. Along with Arkansas, he also holds an offer from Tulsa. "Arkansas still calls the most, but I also hear from Ole Miss, Auburn, Vanderbilt, Kansas, Kansas State, TCU, and Texas A&M," he explained.

"Everyone says if I get bigger," said Ollison, "like 290 or 300 pounds, I will play inside. If I stay the same or lose a little weight, then I could end up at defensive end. I'm comfortable playing either position."

Louisiana Tech has a couple of other defensive linemen from Arkansas on the radar. Pulaski Academy's Dirk Tanner has an offer from the Bulldogs and Tech has been by Pine Bluff to check out Joseph Treadwell.
