Brad Shearin Camps at LA Tech

Jonesboro, AR linebacker Brad Shearin has been making the rounds this summer in hopes of getting that first offer on the table.

Brad Shearin certainly looks the part. At the FCA Combine in Little Rock this summer, the 6'1" linebacker had the second most reps of the day on bench press. He had 28 reps that day and followed it with 30 reps at a combine the following week.

Shearin has been hearing the most from Middle Tennessee, Memphis, and his hometown Arkansas State Red Wolves. He and his dad recently made a swing through North Louisiana to check out two more teams.

Last Saturday, Brad participated in a one day camp at Louisiana Tech. "They asked Brad for film," said his dad, Trey Shearin. "Coach Likens said they were going to keep an eye on him. "

"It was a positive experience," added Mr. Shearin. "It's a good school with an up and coming progThey have nice facilities. Brad worked with Coach Koonz and got to talk to him for a while."

After the camp at Louisiana Tech, Brad and his dad stopped by ULM, where they were able to talk to one of the coaches. Brad had met Coach Applewhite at his high school and wanted to swing by the school for a closer look.

Mr. Shearin feels like a couple of schools are close to offering. It's just a matter of time. Brad is too talented to fly under the radar very much longer.
