"We're a run heavy offense," said Coach Roy. "We pound the ball, but we will get Carl plenty of oppurtunities and he makes the play."

Roy said Pearson, who had four touchdowns in his last seven games, is starting to get noticed. "He's getting a lot of interest from Memphis explained Coach Roy. "He talks to the coaches at Louisiana Tech and they send him hand written letters. Kansas, ULM, Northwestern State, and Arkansas have all been by see him in practice."

Pearson is close to being qualified. He has a 3.46 GPA. "He might be just one point off on his test score," added Coach Roy. "He's a great kid and he will be a plus for any program."

Pearson is a leader for the Class 2A Farmers. He will lead his teammates against 4A Minden in the JAM AT THE JOE in Ruston on August 28th. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.

Pearson had 26 catches for nearly 700 yards as a junior. He shows breakaway ability as well as a knack for taking the ball out of the air in traffic. He added five touchdowns while making 46 tackles and 8.5 sacks on defense. Pearson used his athleticism to recover two fumbles and block a field goal.
