Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns continue to look for big, strong offensive lineman to come in and compete for playing time. One name that is on the Cajuns radar is Sumner HS(Kentwood) OL Wendarius Blackburn. The 6ft 5 300LB Blackburn is getting a lot of looks and talked recruiting with Cajunredzone.com.

Like many juniors, Blackburn is looking forward to his senior season and his time on the gridiron.

"We have a young team, but we have players coming back in key positions. I think we have a shot to win our district. I am really excited to get our season started. I think we are going to be really good next year."

Several schools have been in touch with Blackburn lately, and he is excited to see who all has interest in him.

"I have been hearing from LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Tennessee, Utah, Louisiana Tech, and UL. I have been to junior days at LSU, UL, Southern Miss, and Mississippi State."

Where the Cajuns are concerned, Wendarius left Lafayette pretty impressed.

"I really like the direction the program is heading. I got to see the way that they work with their Offensive Line. I really liked that. I also really liked all their facilities. That stack up good with every place that I have been so far."

As far as when the talented OL might commit, one thing is very important to him.

"To be honest with you, the one thing that stands out to me is playing time. I want to chance to earn a spot early. I plan on taking my visits and making a decision after my senior year."
