White set to see Nebraska

Big Red Weekend is not just about the current class. The Nebraska staff has always brought in top juniors as well. This 2016 recruit will be in Lincoln for Big Red Weekend this weekend.

Instead of one Big Red Weekend this summer the Nebraska staff will be holding two with the first being this coming weekend. Devin White, a standout junior linebacker/running back recruit from Springhill (La.) North Webster will be in this weekend for an extended stay.

"I am going to Nebraska on June 7th," White said. "I will be there for Big Red Weekend, but I am bringing my cleats and workout clothes with me because I don't leave until the 11th."

White says that he's already started to develop a a relationship with the recruit coach for Nebraska. He definitely wants to meet the other coach while in Lincoln this weekend.

"I have already met and talked to Coach Ron Brown. I want to see the place because I have never been there before and I also want to meet the head coach. I already have a good relationship with Coach Brown."

White is going up to Lincoln just trying to soak it all in. He's talked to a family member who was actually a member of those memorable national championship teams in the 90's about his time at Nebraska.

"I really don't have any questions or need to see anything on the trip," White said. "I have a cousin that played for Nebraska in the 90's and won some national championships, Vershawn Jackson."
