Banks Gives Cajun's Verbal On Visit

Trinity Valley CC Offensive Lineman Deandre Banks (6'3,325)gave his verbal pledge to Coach Hudspeth and his staff after taking his official visit to UL yesterday for the Cajun's home game against Appalachian State. Banks was a preseason Gridiron.com Top 50 JC Linemen in the country and had interest from Utah State, North Texas, UTEP and others. Deandre Banks can play any interior position including center and is expected to help the Cajuns offensive line in 2015 with the graduation of center Terry Johnson and guard Daniel Quave.

Trinity Valley CC won the Southwest Junior College Football Championship and will play Coffeyville Community College in the Heart of Texas Bowl on December 6th. The Trinity Valley offense averaged 278 yards rushing, 378 yards passing and 60 points per game during the 2014 season.

Deandre Banks commitment now gives the Cajuns five offensive linemen in the 2015 Class including highschoolers Kevin Dotson (Plaquemine HS), Cole Prudhomme (Eunice HS), Marcus Keyes (Port Allen HS) and Ken Marks (Beaumont Central HS).
