Cajuns Host First Group of Visitors

Coach Hudspeth and his staff welcome a small group of athletes to campus Friday night. Go inside the Cajun Redzone for the break down of the group!

Coach Hudspeth and his staff welcomed the first group of recruits after the dead period Friday night. With the recent additions of Coaches Ken Lucas and Melvin Smith, the first group of visitors was not expected be a large number. Here are the athletes we have been able to verify through our contact with them during the week leading up to Friday.

PK Stevie Artigue, Lafayette High School (Commit)

WR Jared Jackson, East Saint John School (Commit)

OL Cole Prudhomme, Eunice High School (Commit)

Ath/DB Ethan Rose, Northside High School (Commit)

Stevie Artigue - (3-Star) committed to the Cajuns on June 7th, after camp. The 3-5A First Team All-District and All-Acadiana athlete is one of the top prep kickers in the south.

Jared Jackson - (2-Star) It's actually spelled Jarrod Jackson, is an explosive athlete that at times had to take a back seat in East St John's offense to Xavier Lewis and Nigel Anderson. Jackson's play on the field and senior video illustrates the reason why he was named to the 7-5A First Team All-District Offense. Committed to the Cajuns on June 1st.

Cole Prudhomme - (2-Star) Was pre-season Louisiana Prep Magazine First Team Offensive Center in2014 and All-District 4-4A OL for the Eunice Bobcats. Committed to the Cajuns on July 19th.

Ethan Rose - (2-Star) The elusive athlete finished the regular season with over 1,700 yards in total offense and 18 touchdowns in 2014. He was named 4-5A First Team All-District Offense and played in the Max Enfinger East/West All-American Bowl game in December. Rose committed to the Cajun's on November 7th.

Several other athletes may have scheduled visits this weekend at UL, but we were unable to verify their visits as of Friday morning.
