Cajuns Expect to Sign Top Class

Lafayette, La. – Louisiana Head Football Coach Mark Hudspeth and his staff expect to sign their highest ranked group of athletes under his tenure to National Letters-of –Intent today. Go inside the Cajun Redzone as we take a closer look at the list and a few surprise names expected to sign today!

With the fax machines warming in the coach’s office this morning, te 2015 UL Football Signing Class sits at the top of the Sun Belt Conference at $79 nationally on the Scout.com network. Several names are expected to be added to the class this morning and if the rest of the class holds together, that final ranking could land the Cajun’s class in the Top 75 or higher. The Cajuns have several more commitments in Burkeville, Texas HS OL Robert Hunt (6’6,315), Ackerman Mississippi Athlete/Safety Jamarcus Bradley (6’2,185) and NWCC DB Treston Decoud (6’3,205) that is considered to be a soft verbal.

Robert Hunt was named 2014 – 12AA DIV II All-District Football 1st Team Offense at Burkeville High School in Texas. The big lineman visited Houston and Louisiana, holding offers from both programs. Jamarcus Bradley is considered to be an outstanding athlete and is a member if Mississippi’s Top 50 recruits. Bradley visited UL on January 16th, California on the 23rd and San Diego State on the 30th of last month before giving the Cajuns his verbal pledge. He will play on the defensive side of the football at the safety position.

Treston Decoud is a First –Team Juco All-American DB from NWCC in Mississippi that has a number of programs wanting his services including UL, Oregon State, Utah State, East Carolina and Louisville. He has family ties in the UL program as well as several close friends and his girlfriend on the campus currently in Lafayette. He is considered to be a soft verbal commitment to the Ragin’ Cajuns. But look out for several programs making a hard late push for his services, including Louisville.
