Savion Brown Signs With Ragin' Cajuns

Coach Hudspeth and his staff added a 25 signee to the 2015 Class Thursday morning signing Tyler Junior College defensive back Savion Brown (6'2,205) to a Letter-of-Intent.

Former Fair-Park High, Shreveport Louisiana Defensive Back Savion Brown is a familiar name to Ragin' Cajun fans, having attend camp with the staff in the summer of 2012. Brown was a highly touted junior that summer, hitting camps at Mississippi State, LSU and UL before injuring himself in drills at a second LSU camp. Missing a number of games his senior season, Brown would later sign with Tyler Junior College with the hopes to returning to his former status as an FBS college football prospect.

Savion Brown played two seasons at Tyler Junior College, recording 61 tackles and 2 interceptions in 2013 while finishing with 37 tackles and 1 interceptions in 2014 after moving to cornerback. Brown was nominated for All-Southwest Conference Defensive awards after this past season. The Shreveport native will have 3 years to play 2 after graduating this coming May.
