Boudreaux's Commitment Adds to Big Weekend

Holy Cross HS (LA) Linebacker Jacques Boudreaux's (6'2,225) commitment adds to a big recruiting weekend for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Football program! Go inside the Cajun Redzone for the rest of the story!

Holy Cross HS (LA) Linebacker Jacques Boudreaux (6'2,225) added his name to the list of commitments from the Ragin' Cajuns last summer football camp this weekend. Boudreaux joins Newton, Texas linebacker Tanner Holmes (6'2,215) and Houston, West Magnolia HS defensive back Damarren Mitchell (6'0,180) as the latest commitments to the 2015 Class."

A District 9-5A All-District Defense performer in 2014, Boudreaux finished the season with 80 tackles, (53 solo) for the Tigers with one quarterback hurry and one interception.

Boudreaux chose the Ragin Cajuns over offers from Louisiana-Monroe, Houston Baptist and Southeastern Louisiana. Tulane, TCU, Oklahoma, Louisiana Tech, Arkansas State had all shown interest.

Jacques told the Cajun Redzone earlier today that he felt most comfortable with the Ragin' Cajuns football program.

"The coaches and the atmosphere at UL are something I couldn't find any place else," Boudreaux stated. "I just felt like it was a place I really needed to be. After I went up there the first camp and at that point, I knew I wanted to go to UL."

Boudreaux also let it be known that he appreciated the offer from Louisiana-Monroe and said the staff treated he and his family well.

"I enjoy the camp at ULM and the coaches treated us very good," Jacques mentioned. "But it just wasn't the same as UL when I camped with them."
