The Cajun Redzone recently caught up with local high school star Jordan James and interviewed him on the latest recruiting news. James, the son of former Ragin'Cajun great Calvin James, is holding an offer from the Cajun staff and recently added another to the list.
"Since the last time I spoke to you, Tulsa called and offered me a scholarship. In fact, they have showed me the most interest lately out of all the programs. I now have offers from Texas A & M, Ole Miss, Tulsa and UL."
College football programs can only offer prospective student athletes verbally, until September. Jordan James understands that all these offers at this point are verbal and he will be waiting to see which programs send him a written offer in September.
"Yes, I realize that these offers right now are verbal and I'm interested in seeing which programs are going to back their offers with something written in September. Both Texas A & M and Ole Miss told me to remember that I have standing offers from them when I make a decision. I told them that I'm looking forward to getting something official on paper from then and we will see if those offers hold."
In the meantime, Jordan is really excited about the potential of his team for the up coming season.
"I think we are going to be better then people think at this point. We have other guys on our team that can catch the ball, like Matt DeGraauw and our QB Joseph had to play behind Mahtook last season. I think he has a chance to be really good and this team will be better then people think."
