Marcus Wiltz is coming off a big game Thursday night against N0. 1-ranked 3A Parkview Baptist in which he rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. The 5-9, 185-pound senior had touch down runs of 75 and 46 yards against a vaunted Parkview Baptist defense. Marcus traveled to Louisiana-Monroe last Saturday on an un-official visit and watched the game ULM game against Sun Belt rival Louisiana's Ragin'Cajuns. How did Wiltz enjoy the visit and battle on the field?
What did Wiltz think of the campus and facilities?
"We drove through the campus and didn't really get a chance to look around, but it was nice, said Wiltz." "I had an opportunity to walk on the field with the other prospects before the game and we met in the locker room with the team after the game."
Did you speak with some of the other prospects at the game?
"We really didn't talk much with each other, more with our families, said Wiltz." Some of the guys thought I was a defensive back because I was small."
What were Wiltz's thoughts on the game?
"That was really an exciting game, said Wiltz." "The Cajuns really ramped it up on offense and ULM fought back hard to make it close."
What did Wiltz think of Fenroy's performance in the game?
"Man, he was unbelievable in the game, said Marcus." "I had seen him play, but he was great. I like the way he hits the hole and he fits the offensive scheme."
What did you think of the offenses of both programs?
"UL kind of spreads you out and features the running game, said Wiltz." "ULM runs similar formations, but likes to throw the ball more to their backs out of the back field. I could play in either system."
What are the offers Wiltz is currently holding?
I have offers from ULM, UL, Louisiana Tech and McNeese State right now, said Marcus." "I'm going to schedule my visits at UL and Louisiana Tech in the next few weeks.
