Once again, Robert Walker is coming off a 400 yard performace on the gridiron. Friday night against Pine Praire High, Walker rushed for 456 yards on 30 carries and 8 td's. Robert also had one reception for 25 yards in the game. Walker attended the UL game against Arkansas State on an unofficial visit. What did speedy back have to say about the game?
"The atmosphere was great,said Walker." "It was really fun watching the fans get excited in the stands."
This was Walker's second unofficial visit this fall, his first was at Southland Conference powerhouse McNeese State. Walker spoke about his experiences at both games.
"I had fun at both games,Robert said." "There were more people at the Cajun game, it was just a different experience Saturday night. I like both programs."
This was Walker's first chance to see Tyrell Fenroy play in person, what did he think of the Sun Belts all-time rushing leader?
"Man, he is really good, Walker stated." "This was the first time I've had the opportunity to see him play in person and he is good."
How would Robert describe his running style?
"I would say I'm very similar to Darren Sproles, Robert said." "He is a guy I keep up with in the pros and my running style is very similar to his game."
Has Walker added any other offers lately?
"Nothing has really changed at this point, Walker said." "I still have three offers; UL, North Carolina and McNeese St. Northwestern State and Southeastern have been staying in contact with me as well."
The 5-7,185-pound speedster has now rushed for 1,576 yards on a 147 carries and 22 td's on the year. What is his next destination?
"Southeastern Lousiana has asked me to come in for a home game,Walker said." "So I will head over to Hammond for their next home game."
Walker is not yet qualified to be eligible with a 2.5 GPA and a 15 on the ACT, but is scheduled to retake the ACT this weekend.
