Otis Peterson has slowly drawn attention of college football recruiters over the summer at prospect camps. The 6-0, 165-pound senior with 4.3 speed, finished his junior season with 38 catches for 697 yards and 7 touchdowns. Peterson's senior has started off very good as well, with 16 catches for 422 yards and 4 touchdowns in just five games. Peterson spoke to the Cajun RedZone about is recent visit to ULM and his plans for the next few weeks.
How was the visit to ULM for the North Texas game?
"It was nice, said Peterson." "I really enjoyed the staff and going down on the field. It was a good game and the atmosphere was pretty cool."
What is the staff at ULM telling you about you opportunities with the program?
"They told me I'm the number one WR on their board, Otis said." "I haven't looked at their depth chart, but they have a really good offensive scheme and they would like me to play the Z position."
ULM has already offered the speedy receiver from Belle Chase, what are his other contacts at this point?
"I'm getting calls from ULL, McNeese State, Southeastern and Louisiana Tech, Otis said." "I get calls from all of the state schools, except LSU."
What is next for Peterson?
"I going to ULL for their next home game, said Peterson." "Coach Mason called me about making the trip up to Lafayette with my parents on November 1st."
What has the Cajun staff told Mason about his opportunities with the program?
"Coach Mason told me that they like me and they are going to follow me though the season, Otis said." "They want to see some more game film on me and watch a few games. As for as the Cajuns, I like the indoor practice facility, the new turf and their weight room.
Otis carries a 3.1 GPA and scored an 18 on his ACT.
