As Chris Gensler prepares to battle district rival Fontainebleau High Friday night, the 6-3, 265-pound lineman talked to the Cajun RedZone about his planned return trip to Cajun Field this Saturday.
What did Chris think of his first visit to Cajun Field?
"My visit for the Kent State game was great, said Gensler." "The offense looked really good, moving the ball up and down the football field. The facilities are very nice - the coaches are all very nice. I met Coach Hudson, he's a great guy."
What have the coaches told you about possibility of becoming a Ragin'Cajun?
"I talk to Coach Wingerter mostly, and he told that they like me, Chris stated." "They want more film on me and he will be back in to watch me play during the next few weeks."
Have you visited any other programs since the trip to Louisiana?
I've talked to a bunch of smaller schools," said Gensler." "Ivy League schools are interested in me, Princeton and Dartmouth want me to take official visits, but I haven't had the time to take those trips."
What does Chris think of the Cajun's offense?
"Their offense is really exciting and explosive, Chris said." "They moved the ball well and are very physical up front on the line."
Chris benches 335, squats 575 and runs a 5.0 forty. Gensler also excels in the classroom as well, having already scored a 25 on the ACT.
