Walker Garners More Interest With ACT Score

Mamou High All-State RB Robert Walker has raised interest from local college football programs in securing his services for the next four years. Louisiana's Ragin'Cajuns are on Robert Walker's short list.

Mamou High super back Robert Walker just received his most recent score of a 22 on the ACT and now his options of potential suitors has grown. The 5-7, 183-pound Walker carried 236 times for 1,856 yards (7.9 average) and 24 touchdowns in 2007 as a Class 2A All-State pick his junior year. Robert followed up the 2007 season with 2,012 yards and 27 touchdowns this year, and another Class 2A All-State Selection. What teams are on his short list now that he has scored a 22 on his recent ACT?

"The schools that have stayed with me through the fall are UL, Tulane, Texas A&M, McNeese State and Southeastern Louisiana, said Walker." "UL, Tulane and Texas A&M said they would offer me if I could score higher, while McNeese and Southeastern offered me regardless of my score."

Robert has visited the Cajun program several times during football season, but has not yet scheduled an official visit.

"I've been in for several games and I have enjoyed the atmosphere at UL, Robert said." "I know some of the staff well and I like the facilities too. I haven't called yet to tell them about my new test score and set up my official visit."

Are all the schools recruiting Robert Walker at the RB position?

"UL and Tulane are recruiting me at RB, said Walker." "Texas A&M is recruiting me at the slot position in their offense."

"Does Robert have a preference to play either position in college?

"It really doesn't matter to me, as long as I get the chance to play college football, stated Walker." "I have no problem with either position, as long as I have a scholarship to play football."
