Fitzpatrick Still Plans Visit

TE/HB Austin Fitzpatrick returned from Florida Atlantic with another offer in hand. Did Fitzpatrick commit and where is his next visit?

"I thought the coaching staff and athletes were really nice, said Fitzpatrick." "Coach Schnellenberger offered me, but I don't think Florida Atlantic is a place I want to play my college football. It's just not the right place for me."

Now that Fitzpatrick has returned home, his scheduled has changed.

"I was scheduled to come in to UL this weekend, but Coach Bustle ask me take my visit to New Mexico State instead, Austin said." "They want to be the last school for me to visit and make my final decision when I come in on the January 24th."

Austin had an outstanding senior season in 2008 with 53 catches for 843 yards and 10 touchdowns. Does he have any other official visits planned this month?

"Louisiana Tech called and wanted me to take an official visit, Fitzpatrick said." "Tech is a nice program, but after watching them in the Independence Bowl, I don't see where I fit into their offense. They haven't offered me, so I'm not going to take that visit."

Does Austin anticipate any other visits after New Mexico State and Louisiana?

"No, I don't think so, said Austin." "After New Mexico and UL, I'm going to sit down with my dad and make my decision. I feel pretty good with these final two visits.

Austin Fitzpatrick is officially 6'3" 215lbs., runs a 4.61 in the 40 and has an 1190 SAT score. He also benches 305lbs. and squats 450lbs.
