Bruno Receiving Interest

Ryan Bruno is an excellent athlete that could play several positions at the next level. Bruno has been asked to move to safety from linebacker for his senior year and is starting to hear from college football staffs this spring.

Ryan Bruno is a "6-2", 200-pound athlete that played linebacker for St. Michaels High last season. Bruno is considered a good athlete with the body type to play weak side linebacker in college or safety if he can improve upon his 4.7 forty time. Ryan was named First Team 7-4A All-District at linebacker and led his team in tackles with 106 total on the year. Bruno also had 4 forced fumbles, 2 fumble rec., 4 sacks and 11 tackles for loss last season as well.

The recruiting process has really just begun for Ryan Bruno, but he is receiving interest from state schools and recently received interest from UCONN and Auburn.

"I'm receiving interest mostly from state schools right now," Bruno stated. "ULM, UL and a few others have sent letters to me and we received a letter this past week from UCONN. A coach from Auburn stopped by school Monday and spoke to me about attending their camp this summer.

Ryan attended the Cajun Junior Day after taking his ACT Saturday morning and had an opportunity to take in some of the spring game.

"We like what we have seen of the facilities and campus," Ryan said." "We've sent them film and I plan on attending the prospect camp at UL later this summer."

Ryan Bruno plans on attending several other junior days and football camps during the summer.

"I plan on attending football camps at Tulane, ULM and several others during the summer," stated Bruno." "I'm playing baseball, but I'm going to try and attend several other junior days if I can this spring."

Ryan Bruno is also a very good outfielder for the St. Michael baseball team and might have the opportunity to play college baseball as well.
