Bullock Heads to Cajuns Camp with Offer

New Iberia Catholic High QB prospect Taylor Bullock is headed to Louisiana's Ragin'Cajuns football prospect camp this weekend with three offers in hand.

College coaches are tracking down to New Iberia, Louisiana in search of the services Catholic High QB Taylor Bullock. The "6-2", 200-pound Bullock is holding three offers right now, one of them from the Ragin'Cajuns.

"I have offers from Tulane, UL and Louisiana Tech," Bullock stated. "All the offers are at the quarterback position, different offenses to some extent. All of the programs are offering good opportunities to come in and compete."

On Louisiana

"Obviously UL is a program I'm very familiar with, growing up in New Iberia. We run some of the zone read and single back sets that they run in their offense, so I feel comfortable with what they are doing right now. Coach Bustle told me I would have the opportunity to come in and compete my first year. I like coach Munoz the quarterback coach and coach Fouquier."

On comparisons to Mike Desormeaux

"I've heard those things, but I'm not as fast as Mike was when he played here at Catholic High. There are some things I feel comfortable doing in our offense, dropping back in the pocket and running the zone read. I think I can throw the ball down the field and do some running in the zone read, but Mike is a great athlete."

On talking with Desormeaux

"I haven't really had time to talk to him about the program and working with the coaching staff. He has been at training camp and offseason workouts, and I was running track early this spring and spring football. I would love to talk to him about his time at UL, but I don't know when he would be back in town."

On Making a decision

"I'm going to make my decision before the start of football season. I really would like to get it over with and take the pressure off myself, and enjoy just playing football my senior season."

Taylor Bullock finished his junior with a 3.0 GPA and recently scored a 23 on his first take of the ACT.
