Offers Coming In for Zellers

St. Michaels High offensive lineman Ryan Zellers recently attended camp at Louisiana and is getting some attention from the Cajun coaching staff. Zellers is currently holding seven offers this summer, with several more possibly on the way.

The "6-4", 265-pound Ryan Zellers has been on the Ragin' Cajuns radar since last fall. Zellers was part of a small group of 2009 seniors that came in and caught a game at Cajun Field during the 2008 football season, and returned in the spring during Junior Day. Zellers attended the 2009 Cajun Prospect Camp on June 6th and received more then casual interest from offensive line coach Ron Hudson.

"Coach Hudson told me that he liked my work out," Ryan said. "He wants to see some film from our spring game and the first few games of this season. We exchanged numbers after the camp and he told me to stay in touch with him over the next few months."

Zeller currently has offers from Florida International, Marshall, Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, Utah State and Northwestern State. Ryan could be on the cusp of adding several more offers over the next few weeks.

"I attended the Tulane camp here in Baton Rouge last week," Zeller stated. "They told me after the camp that they were interested and would get back to me in a week or two. I'm headed to Southeastern Louisiana's camp this coming weekend and then I'm off to the Linemen camp at Nichols State later in the week."

Ryan doesn't have any favorites at this time and plans on looking at all programs that have offered.

"I don't have a favorite at this time," said Ryan. "I'm going to take some time and look at my offers at some point, but there is not going to be a decision made right now."

Qualifying should not be a problem for Ryan Zellers, as he has scored on 21 on his first ACT test.
