All State WR Glenn Coleman is coming off his best performance thus far this season in a 33-30 in over Jesuit last Friday night. The 6-2, 205-pound athlete scored three touchdowns receiving on completions of 6, 5 and 17 yards. Coleman totaled six catches for 64 yards and scored his first touchdowns of his senior season. His third score covering 17 yards on fourth-and-goal culminated a 17-play, 72-yard drive that took eight minutes, 20 seconds. Glenn Coleman spoke with the Cajun RedZone Tuesday night about his current offers and recruitment by the Louisiana program.
On Summer Camps….
Coleman- "On attended summer camps at LSU and Louisiana Tech. I also participated in the Scout.com / Fox Sports camp here in New Orleans. It was a good opportunity to showcase my skills; I ran a 4.5 forty at the LSU camp."
On current offers…
Coleman- "I have offers from just about every state school in Louisiana, except LSU and Tulane. My offers right now are Oklahoma State, Tulsa, UL, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss and ULM. The other state schools like Southern and Grambling have extended offers as well."
On unofficial and official visits…
Coleman- "I haven't had a chance to make any college football games on unofficial visits yet because of football season. I plan on sitting down with Coach Scott and looking at the schools I might want to set up official visits. We will start looking at those schools soon, but I don't have any decisions made yet.
On Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns…
Coleman- "Coach Rebowe is recruiting me for UL and I speak with him every week. Like all the programs that have offered me, I keep up with them in the papers after the games. They play an open offense, which is what we run here at West Jefferson. I definitely like the offense, which presents you with opportunities to make plays."
On Coach Rebowe…
Coleman- "Coach Rebowe has told me they like me a lot and want me to be part of their program. They are looking for a few playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. I've never been down to the campus or at one of the football games."
Current Academics status….
Coleman- "My first score was a 15 on the ACT, but I'm scheduled to take the test again in October. I have a 2.9 GPA this semester in my core, but I'm focused on raising it by the end of the year."
On the 2009 season….
Coleman- "We've played a tough non district schedule, but we will be ready for a run at the playoffs. I believe this team has the talent to win our district and advance into the state playoffs; that is what we are focused on right now."
