Livonia High Prospect Enjoys Cajun Game

Livonia High TE/DE prospect Michael Woods traveled down to Louisiana for the first time to watch the Cajuns take on North Texas at Cajun Field Saturday night.

Michael Woods had never been on campus at UL or watch a football at Cajun Field, but Saturday night left a lasting impression on the 6'-5, 250 pound prospect from Livonia, Louisiana.

Woods… "I had never been to a game at UL, but I had heard that they have a real good atmosphere at Cajun Field. I really enjoyed the game atmosphere and the excitement of the students towards the end."

Michael was even more excited after the game, as he headed down to the field to meet the players after the win.

Woods… "That was great to see the players walk around the stadium and shake the hands of students and the fans. We walked down to the field and shook hands with and spoke to some of the players. It was great to see how the team reacts with the students and fans."

Woods, who also has interest from Tulane, Louisiana Tech, Northwestern St. and Southeastern Louisiana, was also impressed with the facilities at UL.

Woods… "Their facilities were nicer then I thought they would be before coming down to Lafayette. We were able to get a look at the indoor practice field, weight room and the locker room before the game, and those are nice facilities."

Michael has attended games at Louisiana Tech and UL with his father, talked about his two favorites at this time.

Woods… "Tech has a good program and they play against Boise State in their conference, but UL has a better atmosphere at their games. My dad and I both enjoyed the game and the players at UL. They are the two I'm really interested in right now."

Michael Wood's academics are not in question, as he scored a 19 on his first ACT test and maintains a 3.1 GPA in his core subjects.
