Sebastian Holding One Offer

Lafayette High Kicker/Punter is holding one firm offer in hand to date, but decided to attend Louisiana's home game against North Texas last Saturday.

Lafayette High place kicker Seth Sebastian knows scholarship opportunities for college kickers are few, but the 5-11, 175-pound senior is happy to be holding at least one offer at this time.

Sebastian… "Coach Lucas at Southeastern offered me last month, so that's my first offer this fall. Their senior kicker left the team for personal reasons and they need someone to come in next season and help their program."

While Seth is happy to have an offer in hand, he is still looking at several possible options at TCU and Louisiana, attending games on both campuses.

Sebastian... "I attended a game up at TCU recently and they have excellent facilities. TCU also has an excellent academic reputation, so that makes them even more attractive as a college football program. I was up there during the summer when I attended the Chris Boniol kicking camp."

Chris Boniol is a familiar name to most pro football fans, kicking for the Dallas Cowboys professionally after graduating from Louisiana Tech. Former Ragin'Cajun kicker Drew Edminston also worked with Chris Boniol to improve his fundamentals.

How did Seth Sebastian enjoy the visit to Cajun Field this past Saturday?

Sebastian… "I've enjoyed the visits to UL, Dad and I have come in for games several times. Coach Bustle and Coach Fouquier talk to us when we come in, so we know what UL has to offer as a program. They are pretty much in the same position as TCU; they don't have a scholarship available right now but something could change by the end of the year."

Seth Sebastian hasn't had the opportunity to kick many field goals this season, as Lafayette High has played from behind most of the season.

Sebastian… "I'm 2- for- 4 on the year, including a 49-yard field goal against New Iberia Senior High. We had a few games with bad weather conditions and we've also had to play from behind some this season as well. Our opportunities to kick field goals this season have been limited for those reasons."

Academics are not a problem for Seth Sebastian, as he has scored a 24 on his last ACT and maintain a 3.4 GPA in his core.
