Christina Hamilton joins Shelbee Rodgers and Allie Chenault as pitchers in the 2010 class. The 2010 class now consist of three pitchers, an infielder and a utility player.
The 5-7 Hamilton had committed to LSU earlier in the year, decided Louisiana is the program she wanted play college softball at in the end.
Hamilton was named First Team All-State and All-District Pitcher for four consecutive years. She was also named the 2009 All-State and All-District Most Valuable Player. The Louisiana Softball Coaches Association named her All-State in 2007 and 2009.
In the circle during the 2009 season, Hamilton led Rosepine to a 33-3 record with a 0.33 ERA and 452 strikeouts. In the batter's box that season, she hit 12 homeruns, 42 RBI and posted a .510 batting average.
Co-Head Coach Stefni Lotief commented on Hamilton earlier today. "Christina brings an enthusiasm and love for the game that is contagious and we are pleased to add another Louisiana native to the roster. She is a true competitor that is not afraid of hard work."
