"They showed me around the great city of Louisville and I enjoyed myself thoroughly," Rose said. "I met Coach [Charlie] Strong, Coach [Clint] Hurtt, the defensive line coach, and Coach (Pat) Moorer, the strength coach. Louisville showed me that there are other schools around that I am very interested in."
What did the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Rose like most about Louisville? "Besides the atmosphere I enjoyed the largeness of the city, that impressed me," Rose said. "And the school is large, but it has a small school feel."
Rose said he spoke with Strong during his visit and was informed that the Cardinals are looking for a few recruits who can put some pressure on the quarterback. Louisville is recruiting Rose, who runs a 4.45 forty, as a defensive end.
"He just talked about getting a good end who could sack the quarterback in the Big East," Rose said. "It's an NFL style defense, something I could thrive in. I was impressed with Louisville and their defense."
Rose said he also felt comfortable hanging out with the Louisville players. "I met Stephon Ball, B.J. Butler..I met a lot of the players on the team...Hakeem Smith, and Jordan Campbell," Rose said. "They're all great dudes and they helped me enjoy my time there."
Next up for Rose – a pair of ACC visits. Where does Louisville stand on Rose's list heading into trips to Wake Forest and Maryland? "They're very high on my list," he said. "December 1st I'm going to Wake Forest, and December 10th or 17th I'll be at Maryland. I don't know about any others."
