Lang scheduled to visit April 10th
Central Park Christian Headmaster and basketball coach Levan Parker confirmed Wednesday morning that 6'10 James Lang is scheduled to make an official visit to the University of Louisville beginning April 10th.
Parker was glowing in his praise of Lang's work ethic and his recent play in the McDonald's All American game.
Parker was extremely complimentary of Lang's performance last week in Cleveland.
"It was a typical James Lang game," Parker said of Lang's 15 point, 10 rebound effort against the nation's best high school players.
"He's grossly underrated and has unlimited potential," Parker said. "He has nice touch, catches the ball, and blocks off well."
Some have questioned whether Lang has the work ethic or desire to make it in Coach Pitino's demanding system, but Parker had good things to say about Lang the individual and seemingly put those thoughts to rest.
"He's the most cooperative young man....and he wants to be better and better," said Parker. "He does what he's asked to do."
Parker indicated that Lang's parents intend to sit down with James and make a decision a couple weeks after the Roundball Classic, which was played Monday night in Chicago.
If that's the case, the clock is now ticking for Lang's decision.
