Alabama commitment taking visits

Daryl 'Pookie' Collins, wide receiver from Gadsden (Ala.) City, has been committed to the University of Alabama since the spring. He is looking at other schools and takes his first official visit this weekend. Andrew Bone has the latest news...

"I am going to take an official visit to Louisville this weekend," said Daryl Collins. "I am then going to Kentucky next weekend. I don't have any other visits set up.

"I haven't taken my official visit to Alabama yet. I am still solid with my commitment to them though. I haven't talked to any of their coaches lately."

Kentucky and Louisville continue to express strong interest in the Tide commitment.

"I just want to go up there to see the different atmospheres," Collins said. "I want to hang out with a few of the players and get to know the coaches better. Kentucky and Louisville have been on me hard. They have been here and talked to me. They want me to see their campus and hang out with the players.

"I have family in Kentucky. They are close to the Wildcats or Louisville. I know these official visits will tell me everything I need to know. They will take me out and show me around. I know it's a family thing up there."
