DaMarcus Smith, Charlie Strong's first commitment at Louisville, made an official visit to Central Florida this weekend with his mother.

After returning home Sunday from UCF, the three-star quarterback from Seneca is considering his options carefully as National Signing Day on Feb. 2 approaches.

"It was a good trip, but we brought the cold with us down there," Smith's mom, DaTonya Ward, said.

Ward said that Smith didn't wish to comment publicly right now about his recruitment.

"DaMarcus has some things to think about," Ward said.

Though Smith is thinking about his options, Ward did say that Smith remains "committed to Louisville and hasn't talked about de-committing at this point."

After returning from UCF, Ward said they contacted Charlie Strong's coaching staff and plan to meet with UofL's head coach later this week to talk about Smith's future at Louisville.
