"It's just getting started, but it's an exciting time," said Ryan's father Jeff Fogle.
Ryan (6'2, 220), who was a 1st Team All-Northern Kentucky selection as a junior, helped anchor a defense that allowed just 225-yards per contest last year.
He's also a standout player on the baseball diamond as well. He plays first base, outfield and designated hitter for Conner's baseball team and was the only sophomore named 1st Team All-9th Region.
Louisville, Stanford, Maryland, Cincinnati, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Miami of Ohio and most of the Ivy League schools have all ready made contact with Ryan through letters.
Ryan's father informed me that, all though it is early, Louisville, Cincinnati, Miami of Ohio and Maryland are his son's early leaders.
"He's extremely excited about Louisville," explained Mr. Fogle. "He would like to stay in state if he could."
Ryan is also an good student and is currently carrying a core GPA of 3.2.
Ryan, along with his parents, will be visiting the Cardinals facilities on April 18th for the annual spring game.
