Louisville first offer for Georgia lineman

DeAngelo Brown, a 2012 defensive lineman from Savannah, Ga., is one to watch. He has picked up an offer from Louisville and he is hearing from numerous schools out of the ACC, Big East, and SEC.

"Louisville has offered me and they are the first school to offer me a scholarship," said DeAngelo Brown. "I talked to Coach [Ron] Dugans and he is the coach that offered me. He told me they they liked my film, that they liked how I play, and that they want me to be a Cardinal."

Other than Louisville, a number of other schools are showing interest in the 6-foot-1, 285 pound defensive tackle out of Savannah (GA) Savannah Christian. Alabama, Florida, Georgia Tech, South Florida, and Vanderbilt are as well.

Brown is open to everyone right now.

"Everybody is even for me. When I get more offers, I will put some type of list together, but right now, I am wide open. I like Louisville and I am happy about the scholarship offer from them, but I want to see more offers before I start to make a list."

The junior on the east coast of Georgia is a powerful interior defensive lineman. He bench presses 425 pounds and he squats 500 pounds. He uses that power on the field.

"I had 90 tackles and 11 sacks last season and I just play with a lot of power," Brown said. "I have quick hands and I get off the ball well too, but power is my biggest strength on the field."
