Bobby, a standout defensive back for Joliet (IL) Catholic Academy, has now been receiving consistant letters from the Cardinals staff and made his first visit to the U of L football complex for the spring game.

When I asked how his visit went, Bobby emphatically replied, "I loved it!" He then continued to explain what he saw that he liked so much.
"I really like the weight room, plus it has a great view," Buchanan explained. "It also felt like a family enviroment. I felt like I all ready knew the coaches from the letters they have sent."
Buchanan (6'0, 180) is drawing quite a bit of attention from programs all around the country. In addition to Louisville, he has all ready made an unofficial visit to Illinois. He also hopes to visit Iowa and UCLA in the near future. Florida State, Virginia, Notre Dame, Oregon, Wisconsin and Tennessee are some of the other programs that are sending regular mail to the Buchanan household. He informed me that U of L, Illinois, Iowa and UCLA are his current favorites.
During his visit to Louisville, he was somewhat surprised by Ray's involvement in the festivities at the game. Ray took part in a cermony honoring last year's seniors, giving Curry Burns a framed jersey. He also modeled the new look jersey that the Cardinals will be wearing this fall and in doing so treated the fans to a short dance.

So, will older brother put any pressure on Bobby to follow in his footsteps and wear #34 at his alma mater?
"Ray's told me that he'll let me make my own decision," said Bobby.
Having near 4.3-40 speed, Buchanan is currently preparing for the Illinois High School Track Championships. He says that his Joliet Catholic Academy team has a good chance to win the relays and that he can win the state crown in the 100 meters.
"I all ready beat last year's winner," said Buchanan. "I've also beaten all my competition, so I should have a good shot at it."
