Spring Game Visitors

It's a big recruiting weekend for Charlie Strong's Cardinals. Louisville will host more than 30 2012 and 2013 prospects Friday night for the Red-White Spring Game at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Some big names are included in this impressive group of visitors. InsideTheVille.com has the list.....

VISITOR BREAKDOWN

Charlie Strong has lamented his team's problems on the offensive line this spring, and it's clear restocking the o-line is a big priority for the Cardinals in 2012. Louisville will host several 2012 offensive line prospects Friday night, including 6-4, 285-pound Indianapolis commit Sid Anvoots.

DeAndre Herron, a monster 6-5, 315-pound tackle from Avon, Ind., also will be in attendance. A close friend of Anvoots, Herron visited Louisville earlier this spring and has the Cardinals high on his list. A three-star prospect, Herron also has offers from Arkansas State, South Alabama, Toledo and Southern Mississippi.

Blake Bars, a three-star offensive lineman from Nashville Montgomery Bell Academy is a high on Louisville's recruiting board. The 6-5, 255 Bars holds several offers, including Florida, Boston College, and Penn State.

Wes Rogers, a 6-4, 260-pound lineman from Indianapolis, holds an offer from Louisville and told InsideTheVille.com after his visit to Louisville last week that Strong's Cards are in the lead for his services. Rogers holds offers from Louisville, Ball State and Western Michigan.

DeAndre Herron
Joe Manley, the offensive line prospect in Kentucky, is expected to make his way up from Bowling Green Friday night for the spring game. A three-star prospect, the 6-6, 315-pound Manley holds offers from Louisville and Kentucky. Manley visited Kentucky for their Junior Day.

Damon Sprouse, an athletic 6-5, 275-pound tackle, will make his second visit to Louisville this spring to watch the Spring Game. Louisville was the first school to offer the Decatur, Ga., lineman.

Daron and Zach Blaylock, talented twin defensive backs from Walton, Ga., will make their second visit to Louisville Friday night. The Cardinals are the first program to offer the twins.

Two talented prospects from Tennessee are expected to visit. Drae Bowles, a three-star wide receiver from Jackson, TN., has an offer from Louisville, and holds offers from several SEC programs, including Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Alex Dale, a cornerback from Memphis, holds offers from Mississippi and Western Kentucky.

Several local stars, including Seneca lineman Oliver Hinkle, Moore wide receiver MeKale McKay, Fern Creek defensive back Travon Spencer and Trinity lineman Tyler English also will be in attendance.

Many of Kentucky's top rising juniors are expected to be in attendance for Louisville's Spring Game, including Lexington quarterback Kyle Bolin, and Trinity stars DE Jason Hatcher, WR James Quick, RB Dayln Dawkins, CB Ryan White and QB Travis Wright. Hatcher and Quick are considered elite nationaly prospects, while Bolin is regarded as the state's top junior signal-caller.

Dymonte Thomas, a big-time 2013 running back from Ohio, is also expected to attend the Spring Game. Thomas already has offers from Michigan and Michigan State.
