Breakdown: James, a physically imposing prospect, is one of the most improved big men in the nation. On the rise, James has seen interest in his recruitment heat up this spring, as UNC and Louisville are now getting involved. Louisville assistant Richard Pitino has solid connections with James' AAU program, the Florida Rams. Pitino lured Jared Swopshire and Rakeem Buckles, both former Rams, to Louisville and had the Cardinals in position with Fab Melo, also a former Florida Ram, before leaving to join Billy Donovan's Florida staff.
Evan Daniels' Take: "For a guy his size, James, who will move into's 2012 rankings when they are updated, moves relatively well, has a great set of hands and has developed a handful of moves on the block."
Recruiting Interest: Florida, UMass, Miami, South Carolina, West Virginia and UCF have extended offers. Louisville, North Carolina, Clemson and Florida State are showing interest.

D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera

Breakdown: A five-star prospect, DSR is one of the most productive guards in his class nationally. Ranked the fifth-best shooting guard prospect nationally, Smith-Rivera possesses the strength to attack off the bounce and owns a reliable perimeter jump shot. Smith-Rivera recently backed out of a commitment to Xavier, and Louisville is expected to turn up the heat on the Indianapolis prospect. In fact, Rick Pitino was in Indy earlier this week to see DSR.
Brian Snow's Take: "This kid just knows how to get buckets. Not a great athlete, Smith-Rivera has a great feel for how to get his shot off, and also has excellent touch in the mid-range and on the perimeter. Defensively he struggled some with straight line drives, but usually he is pretty good in that regard.
Recruiting Interest: Florida, Louisville, Georgetown, Indiana, Kansas State, Ohio State, Texas, UCLA, Wake Forest and Xavier.
